Frequently Asked Questions

Professional video classrooms built for education - that's what Simpleclass delivers. Here you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about our platform, features, and how we help educational institutions succeed online.

What is Simpleclass?

Simpleclass is an online classroom platform for tutoring and education organizations. Create courses, schedule sessions, assign teachers and students, and run video classes with chat and file attachments - all from one portal. What sets it apart: teachers can monitor all breakout rooms simultaneously, something Zoom and Teams can't do.

How is Simpleclass different from Zoom or Teams?

Zoom and Teams are general-purpose conferencing apps. Simpleclass is an organization portal: institutions create courses, schedule sessions, assign teachers and students, and run video classes with chat and file attachments - all from one place. On top of that, teachers get breakout room control that Zoom and Teams don't offer: monitoring all rooms simultaneously, joining multiple rooms at once, and enforcing mandatory camera policies. Everything is EU-hosted and GDPR compliant.

Who is Simpleclass for?

Simpleclass is designed for independent tutors running small groups, tutoring centers, language schools, and training or exam prep organizations. If you teach groups of up to 12 students online and need real oversight over breakout rooms, Simpleclass is for you.

Can I monitor multiple breakout rooms at once?

Yes. Unlike Zoom and Teams, you have full control over which breakout rooms you join - as many as you want - and which ones you silently monitor without your students knowing.

How much does Simpleclass cost?

Simpleclass starts at €8 per user per month. All features are included in every plan - no tiers, no hidden costs. We offer a 7-day free trial with up to 10 users, no credit card required.

How does the free trial work?

You can try Simpleclass free for 7 days with up to 10 users. All features are available during the trial. No credit card required to start. If you decide to continue, you simply add a payment method.

Is Simpleclass GDPR compliant?

Yes, fully. We're a Dutch company (Simpleclass B.V.), all data is hosted on EU servers in the Netherlands and France, and we never share data with non-EU entities. We provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for all institutions.

Where is my data stored?

All platform data - your courses, sessions, student accounts, recordings, and chat - is stored on EU servers in the Netherlands and France. No platform data is transferred outside the EU.

Can I record sessions?

Yes. Teachers can enable recording when scheduling a session or during the session. Recordings are stored in the cloud and available for instant playback. Course owners can download recordings or share access with students.

How many breakout rooms can I create?

You can create as many breakout rooms as you need. There's no artificial limit. The practical limit depends on how many students are in your session.

What are the technical requirements?

Simpleclass works in any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). No downloads or plugins required. A stable internet connection and a webcam/microphone are recommended.

Does Simpleclass work on mobile?

Simpleclass works in mobile browsers, but for the best experience we recommend everyone uses a desktop or laptop computer - both teachers and students.
